Myokard is a graphic designer and illustrator whose illustrations in the book Bohemian Taboo Stories accompany the chapters Freya and Roticon. Her illustrations were also exhibited in the Bohemian Taboo joint exhibition in St. Albans, UK.
She says: "My name is Dana Ledl. I was born in Vysočina, I graduated from the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, I live in Prague. I have worked in advertising agencies, design studio, freelance. For several years I made a living in web design and graphic design. My diary project Myokard, which I started in 2011, helped me to get back to drawing. Now I've been working as a freelance illustrator for a few years. I draw mostly book covers and illustrations, and I collaborate with designers, urban planners, musicians. I'm planning to publish an author book, do more painting, exhibit more. Biggest achievement: I have two beautiful children. I'm doing what I've always enjoyed and making a living doing it. I can combine taking care of small children with work. Sometimes it takes a lot of energy and circles under my eyes, but because of that I've had the opportunity to illustrate book covers for several publishers in the United States over the past few years. I decided to collaborate on Bohemian Taboo Stories because I think projects that break down boundaries and stereotypes and bring a new perspective are useful and inspiring. I like that the Bohemian Taboo project also has a strong educational component."
